Movie Moment: No Country For Old Men
Released: 2007 Director: Ethan Coen, Joel Coen Starring: Emilio Estevez Samuel L. Jackson Jon Lovitz IMDb: 8.2/10 A movie that’s been recommended to me a few times, plus it showed up on someone’s top 3, and I saw lots of clips of it, so I queued it up. The movie follows a regular blue-collar, ex-military…

Movie Moment: Loaded Weapon 1
Released: 1993 Director: Gene Quintano Starring: Emilio Estevez Samuel L. Jackson Jon Lovitz IMDb: 6.2/10 From the cover of this movie, I expected a cheesy action movie with stupid slapstick humor. When I saw Samuel Jackson on the cover? I was sold. All in! The movie is a spoof of Lethal Weapon, which I’ve never…

Music of the Month (August 2026)
Keeping Mac Miller in my rotation for this month! My buddy showed me this last song before he left the fire we were working on together. I think this may be one of my favorites of his so far. That slow, easy rap is hitting just right now, after the metal rap I had been…

Book Nook: Of Monsters and Mainframes
A book I had some videos about said it was a bit of a fever dream, but a well-written and funny one at that. After reading the synopsis on the back of the book, I was sold. Frankenstein, AI, Dracula, vampires, werewolves, and aliens. I wanted to know just how they were going to combine…

Movie Moment: Wasp Woman (1995)
Released: 1995 Director: Jim Wynorski Starring: Jennifer RubinDoug WertDaniel J. Travanti IMDb: 4.2/10 During my VHS hunts, I always find myself drawn to these old terrible monster “Thrillers”. They always have the most wack ass plots, and when they were made, you just know the practical effects are either terrible CGI or so bad that…

Movie Moment: Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Released: 2026 Director: Destin Daniel Cretton Starring: Tom HollandZendayaMark Ruffalo IMDb: 8.1/10 Now I am one of those people who dropped off the Marvel universe after Endgame. Something about all the shows, and the speed of their releases just kinda overwhelmed me. The exception to this is Spider-Man. Tom Holland is definitely my favorite Spider-Man,…

Book Nook: Carl’s Dooms Day Scenario!
After finishing the first book I couldn’t wait to pick up the second. This book has pulled my into its pedigree award winning claws. I was working a fire in the middle of rural Colorado when i finished the first book and drove an hour to a town with a Barnes & Noble just so…

Book Nook: Dungeon Crawler
Dungeon Crawler Carl is another book that has been on my radar for quite some time. This book has one of those cult followings that always seems to end up on one of my social feeds here and there with its obscure references. The stuff I saw always made me NOT want to read it.…

Music of the Month (July 2026)
Smaller artists with some chill drums, great long guitar riffs, and great vocals. Haven’t deep-dived into his music yet, but if this vibe holds, this will be some good songs to transition out of my metal rap era. Great electronic beats with some great group vocals that make you want to jump! Another artist I…
