Now I am one of those people who dropped off the Marvel universe after Endgame. Something about all the shows, and the speed of their releases just kinda overwhelmed me. The exception to this is Spider-Man. Tom Holland is definitely my favorite Spider-Man, and even if I don’t know what’s going on in the rest of the MCU, I know what’s going on with our favorite neighborhood hero. In this movie, Spider-Man deals with being forgotten by everyone he knows and the stress of not having time outside of being a hero, which causes his spider DNA to overwhelm him.

I saw the movie in IMAX, my favorite way to enjoy new movies. Went with family, and the theatre was pretty full for a weekday, a little after release. The movie wasn’t my favorite Spider-Man movie, but it’s still a solid one. I really liked what they did with first-person views and loved seeing characters from other movies and shows, especially Frank. Though I did find the story to be pretty predictable and straightforward, with quite a bit of fluff, some good, some bad. As one of the more comedic heroes, I think the comedy was on point, while the action was nothing too crazy.
