Living my best post-questing life with a few hikes! Did 2 sections of the Ice Age Trail! Had the whole thing to myself. Didn’t see a single soul that day. It was peaceful as hell! Words can never quite capture the beauty of silence in nature. Just the breeze, the birds, and the quiet mix into a hum that soothes the soul. I recorded 2 minutes of the creek just so I could listen back to the sound of the water. Some ASMR-quality sounds scare. The pond was also nice, with A LOT of cool birds and A LOT of bugs. Also did some treasure hunting, found some cool caches!

My plant focus is the Marsh Marigold(Caltha palustris)! These bright yellow beauties are in the buttercup family! They are common in wet soils, like the marsh where I found them- the right conditions! Despite being pretty, this plant is pretty poisonous! Its juices can even cause blistering and inflammation. But becomes safe to eat when cooked and is a substitute for salad greens or even capers. They can grow in huge groves under the ight conditions but I only saw a few patches!
Thanks for reading,
Cheers!
