Another movie I had seen clips of that caught my interest. The film is a coming of age story set in the 90’s following two kids who are all about the hustle. Getting money wherever and whenever they can. Which leads them to running a snack shack over the summer as they deal with bullies, girls, drama and all the other problems teens face. The movie does a great job capturing the rowdy nature of growing up in the 90’s. The kids are funny and always up to no good in a way that makes you grin ear to ear.

I think the movie did a good job capturing the nostalgia of the 90s, but it still feels somewhat modern. The characters are relatable, and the banter is on point. I really like the camaraderie between the two main characters, and it left me yearning to go back to a time I didn’t even grow up in. Some of the drama felt a bit forced, but not in a completely unrealistic way, considering they are teens. It has me coaching their relationships from the sidelines, but it pulls me into the characters that much more. I may not have had a childhood quite as exciting as this, but the movie let me live vicariously and was solid from start to finish.
