I loved the original Nobody, so when the sequel scrolled across my screen, I figured “why not”. The movie picks up a little bit after the first movie, following Hutch, our trained gun for hire, as he has restarted his career, causing him to grow distant from his family. In an effort to fix it, Hutch and his family go on vacation, where not everything goes as planned, putting the whole family at risk. The movie is an action/comedy that doesn’t take itself seriously and has some decent fight scenes scattered in.

I felt the second movie couldn’t quite meet the bar set by the first. It felt very much like a sequel, in that it followed the format of the first movie almost to a T without improving or adapting, so it just fell flat in my eyes. The movie attempts to build on the relationships between Hutch and his family members, but it all ends up feeling shallow and having no impact beyond the scene. There were both good and cheesy action scenes. Which, depending on what you’re looking for, might strike your fancy, but for me, the cheesy outweighed the good and didn’t hit home for me.
