Channel. Islands. National. Park.
What a trip this was! Woke up nice and early and bombed it down from Santa Monica down to Ventura so I could board a ferry to the islands for a kayaking tour of the caves! Never been kayaking on the ocean, so this was an exciting first for me, and it was everything I wanted it to be!

I don’t know why, but I was so paranoid I was going to be sick on the ferry or the kayak. I actually had no issue with either, except when I got back on land, I could still feel the waves lol. The ferry was so much fun, though I got to see some whales and more dolphins than I have ever seen in my life. There were hundreds of them; it felt like it.
The kayaking was so fun, too! We got to go in some really narrow caves, as well as the big ones in the photos. The skinny ones just required diligent steering and coordination to avoid crashing or hitting your head, etc., so no photos of those. Photos might be a bit scuffed since my phone was in a waterproof case.
The island itself was also nice and peaceful, and I got to see one of the famous foxes of the island returning after my tour. I almost didn’t come to the Channel Islands, but I was so, so, so glad I did!
