It has been a minute. My burger time has really been slacking. I have a long list to complete, and I’m quickly running out of time to finish it. Not only that, but I also completely spaced posting this specific burger bucket list. I will do my best to score this based on my memories. So, if you feel that this is entirely off base, it may just be. This time, I was joined by my cousin, Bre, and my sister, Chey. We had stopped by just before our metal orchestra concert. In any case, let’s jump in!
Burger Score: 7.5

The burger was really solid. I got “The Shed” burger, which was your standard burger but had a twist: pepper horsey aioli. Featuring a nice brioche bun and with their special sauce was different enough to earn em’ an extra point but I did think there wasn’t enough of the aioli to really get a taste for it. Felt like it was very subtle. Plating left a bit to be desired, and the burger got a bit messy while eating, which cost it some points. But overall, I would say this is better than your everyday burger and worth a pick if you’re at the shed. They have some other burgers that sound a little more interesting than “The Shed,” but if you want a no-fuss burger, it’s a solid option.
Fries Score: 8.5
So I may have cheated a bit on this review. I typically get plain fries, so every burger joint gets a fair rating when compared to each other. However, The Shed had Sriracha fries, and I couldn’t walk away with any regrets, so I ended up ordering them. It was soooooo worth it. If you like spice, do yourself a favor and upgrade those bad boys. They were some of the best fries I have had. The only thing is I feel like they could be a tad on the crispier side. I also took a half point off since I cheated, and to even it out a bit. I am sure their plain fries are just as good, but it really depends on how they are seasoned.
Menu Score: 8
The shed primarily focuses on Sandwiches, with additional options for entrées, burgers, and salads, but does a good job of incorporating a variety of flavors and food types. In addition, they have a great selection of shareables/appetizers. I think if they had a few more options for burgers and other entrees, they could bump up that score a bit. The options you do have do have some stuff I don’t usually see at different places. I am looking at your spam sliders and fried Oreos. If you have picky eaters, I’m sure they’ll be able to find something they’ll like.

Vibe Score: 6
The Shed’s aesthetic is a sports bar through and through, with a hint of a country or barn vibe. Tons of TVs playing sports with flags of every team you can think of hanging on the walls and ceiling. Not really my cup of tea, but if that’s what you like, then this is perfect for you. A significant point loss due to the service. The service took a long time, despite the place not being very full. I only ever saw the one waitress, and it made me think that maybe they are understaffed. The waitress was friendly enough, but she seemed busy. The place was clean enough, and the outdoor area seemed like it would be a great place to eat and socialize on a nice day.
Price Score: 7
For the price, you’re looking at approximately $15 for your burger and fries, excluding a drink. I would say that is on par with most burger joints around the valley. I would say the large serving of fries helps you get more bang for your buck. With that, I am going to give it a solid 7. Most of the other food options sit at about the same price point. Their desserts seem a touch high, but it depends on the serving size. I didn’t get any drinks while I was there, but depending on that, it could bump the score a bit.
Overall Score: 38/50 /// Tier: B+
The Shed is a solid choice if you’re looking for decent food at a reasonable price. I would be cautious going there while they are busy, just in case they are experiencing staffing issues. However, it’s not far from BSU, so if you’re a student looking to enjoy some sports or grab some food between or after classes, it’s a decent option. The Shed has earned its place in the high B tier. Thanks for joining me, hopefully the following burger bucket list won’t be so far out. I say that as if I don’t have a camping trip and a fire season ahead of me. My next post should be some more camping shenanigans, so stay tuned!
Cheers,
Chandler!
