If you have not been to Sid’s garage I need you to run do NOT walk. I have been to Sid’s Garage on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. To uphold the integrity of my Burger Bucket list I made a return trip with a bunch of my family ( Shoutout to Bre, Ian, and Chey!!!) We hit it before we went to Scheels to get some mountain meals for an upcoming backpacking trip. We went to the location in Eagle, they do have another location in Boise but i have never been to that one.
Burger Score: 10
So they have a lot of options for their burgers and a lot of them are pretty crazy and that is one of my favorite things about Sid’s. For the Burger Bucket list, I try to stick to as simple as a burger so I can judge it comparatively to the other burger joints. For Sid’s that was a Whiskey Bacon BBQ Burger. AND BOY! What. A. Burger. First thing the presentation was simple but with some nice little touches. They burn their logo onto the top bun. Dope af. The plate they put it on is small. It fills the space well. The burger was stacked tall. It was not squished or destroyed in any way. The burger itself was thicc with two c’s probably the thickest burger I have seen thus far on my bucket list. It was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. I had no complaints. It stayed together perfectly and was not messy. There was just the right amount of sauce. Phenomenal work!

Fry Score: 7.5
So this is where I went wrong. I forgot to order fries. 😔 I did get to try one or two fries that my family ordered when I got there. I completely forgot till I finished my burger. I have gotten their truffle fries in the past however and they were really good. From the handful that I did try, I would say they were really good. I would say I have had better fries but they are definitely better than average. Just the right amount of spice but was not blown away by the spice choice. They were a great size and leaned on the crunchy side which is okay with me. Overall, it’s a solid pick. However, I would definitely recommend some of their other apps. They have a ton of options to pick from that all look 10 times better.
Menu Score: 9
If you’re looking for a variety of choices in your burger, Sid’s is the best place to find them. I would be surprised if you find anywhere better. They have burgers with blueberry compote, candied bacon, pretzel buns, you name it. I love a burger place that dares to offer more than the generic burger options. Sid’s takes that idea and runs with it. They also have a good variety of local brews to choose from and their apps are top-notch. The one area they are slacking in is alternative options other than burgers. I think they may have had 1 or 2 non-burger options. Not necessarily an issue for a burger place but does stop me from giving them a perfect score.
Vibe: 9

Sid’s Garage does a very good job sticking to its theme and does so pretty well. It’s got a surprise surprise garage theme. The front podium was a toolbox, there is a gas pump near the front door. The light fixtures have gears and old-fashioned light bulbs. It’s clean and looks amazing. The staff is super nice. They put extra effort into the presentations of their apps. My candied bacon came on a wrack between two pipes and my waitress smoked it right at my table. The table next to us got the trash tots. They arrived in a little trash can and were dumped onto a plate. The dish was then covered in sauce. The one thing that held me back from that perfect score is it felt a little cramped in there. It wasn’t crazy busy when we went. I could see it being a little hectic come dinner rush.

Price: 7
The burgers will run you about $12/$13 each and that is without a drink or fries. That being said I think that for the quality of the burger you are getting it’s well worth. I would say it does lean on the higher side however. I got an app, burger and drink and with the tip to our awesome waiter it came out to $30 in total.
Total Score: 42.5 // Tier A
Overall you cannot go wrong with Sid’s Garage they have the whole package, and I didn’t mention this but their shakes are crazy! Some of them have whole ice cream sandwiches or a whole piece of pie on them. You could honestly just go there just for their shakes if you wanted to. If you get other food with them you may want to split them. You will definitely see me back at Sid’s garage just to try some of their other interesting burgers and taste their amazing food! Cheers!
