Hit List!
It has been a minute since I had a good burger and there is no better way of celebrating getting through the holiday season then another burger off my Burger Bucket List! Me, Ian, and Tucker decided to try Hit List this time on Thursday, January 2nd after I got done with the gym. I have a weird feeling I’m going to be sweaty and gross whenever I go out for burgers, on that Muay Thai Grind I guess.
Burger Score: 8
Hit List serves both sandwiches and burgers, it felt like there were more sandwich options than burger options. I ended up getting the simple cheeseburger and added bacon. Ian and Tucker both got some fancier burgers that looked delicious. The Presentation was great, exactly what I would want my fresh burger to look like, and with a perfect top bun. The burger had a little too much cheese for my taste but the burger itself was amazing. I would have preferred the grilled onions not to be diced, I was surprised by how clean of an eating experience it was. No dripping or toppings falling out and the burger stayed together well all the way to the last bite. The burger was amazing in all but didn’t do anything extra to put it over an 8.
Fry Score: 6.5
The cut of the fry was perfect, the shape and size were exactly what I wanted. The other good thing these fries had going for them was their crunch. The fries were crispy but were just the right amount of softness on the inside. The issue I have with the fries is the seasoning. It felt like there weren’t any spices or even salt added. I know I saw Ian add salt to his fries and usually I am a no-salt plain kinda guy but these got bland really fast. Their fry sauce didn’t help much either and they did not have a ton of other options either.

Menu Score: 6.5
The menu was not crazy big and they really stuck to just burgers and sandwiches. That doesn’t constitute a problem in itself but It didn’t feel like there was much variety, they had the basic varieties that I see in most other places and nothing that made them stick out. That and there were no appetizers or alternative options. There was nothing on their menu I couldn’t get from most other restaurants or even any special twists on any of the items except maybe the pastrami burger. Was not too impressed by the menu.
Vibe: 5
Ian got to the Restaurant way before me and Tucker did and said it was dead pretty much the whole time. When I arrived Ian was the only one in the store with both the visible employees sitting at a booth lounging near the front counter. This mixed with the pretty empty and minimally decorated space made it feel like a pick up and go kind of restaurant . The decorations felt very much like what a chain restaurant might have and lots of open space in the center. Towards the end of the night near close the store got a little busy but was not enough to save the “vibe” score. Nothing is bad per say, it was clean and organized but other then the pinball machines shoved in the corner (one of them was broken) there wasn’t anything that interesting about the space.

Price Score: 3.5
Hit List is one of the burger places that does not offer any sort of meal deal or include anything with their burgers or sandwiches. I had to buy the burger the fries and the drink all separately the burger was already $15 with bacon added then you throw in the other two times and you are looking at over $20. For the quality of what you are getting, I would say it doesn’t quite match the value. There will probably be worse places but the cost for Hit List has probably been the worst so far in the Burger Bucket list.
Total Score: 29.5 // Rating: C Tier
Unless you are going to a concert at the Rev and need a quick burger to eat before rocking out I would say you are better off hitting up another burger place. There isn’t anything bad about Hit List but there is nothing that sets it apart. If your looking for a different burger place to hit check out my Burger Bucket List here. Thanks for reading, I will see you at the next burger place!
Cheers!
