In this time-lapse, you can watch me paint all the furniture that I sanded in the last part. I went with a dark green for the main color and a dark brown for the top, drawers, and cabinet doors. Almost has a park service kind of vibe to it. When everything was all done I almost wanted to keep the entertainment center instead of selling it. I ended up doing two coats of paint although my phone died when I was half way through my second pass at the entertainment center. I posted some completed photos so you can see how it all turned out.
I learned a couple things while painting:
- I bought waaaaay too much paint. I definitely did not need a whole gallon of green. Lucky for me I am going to use it for some later projects, but I still probably won’t use half of it.
- Sanding was more important than I thought it was. There were some nooks and crannies on the end table that I was not able to sand and the paint was beading up on those sections and not sticking requiring me to paint them quite a bit more than the other areas.
